DC Comics kicked off the refresh of its entire franchise with the release of Justice League #1 and they did it with their heaviest hitters – Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Scott Williams.
Artist and Writer Tony Salvador Daniel’s engaging and gritty story managed to make me stop worrying about the DC Comics refresh known as The New 52 and simply enjoy a good story. In Batman Detective Comics #1, the Batman struggles to track down and stop the Joker who leaves a path of seemingly random murders Continue Reading »
It has been over a year since I posted an article to this site and a lot has changed in the world of comics since then. One of the biggest changes that has hit very recently is the reboot relaunch of every single DC Comics title and the launch of several new ones. DC made Continue Reading »
Refacing Government Tender is an awesome photoset by Joe D on Flickr. He takes US cash and turns the images of dead presidents in to funny portraits. My favorites are the comic book characters. I’ll post pics when I actually get Continue Reading »
I have the utmost faith in Christopher Nolan’s abilities. When I first saw the trailer for Batman Begins, I had no desire to head to the theatre. In fact, I waited for the DVD and was completely blown away. I kicked myself a few times for missing its theatrical release and hoped for a sequel. Continue Reading »
My inside information was confirmed today. The “cop funeral” scene is currently being shot. I was incorrect about the location. There are about 100+ cops on LaSalle, including police on horses and several people in swat uniforms. There is also an ambulance. I found out there will be a funeral procession / parade taking place Continue Reading »
I just received information about a new scene for The Dark Knight movie (sequel to Batman Begins). The scene is being filmed here in Chicago and involves a “Cop Funeral”. One can only assume we will see the death of the current commissioner, which means Gordon will most likely be rising to that position. Very Continue Reading »
